God Bless. He is 36yrs old, needs a job, and wants to work...
I have a friend, one of 32 men in the world to accomplish this:
Hit a home run in his last major league at bat!! He thought it
was over, season done, he is out of baseball. His agent said
"japan". That was 35 yrs ago. Now he has several california homes, family,
and out of baseball after a 10yr Japanese baseball career in the 1980s!
Go for it John, live the dream as long as you can!!

[...] As for the swirling rumors and reports of Kawakami’s destination, NPB Tracker has kept a detailed log, including translated tidbits from Japanese sources. (That’s also the place where it’s reported that pitcher John Wasdin, who spent last season with Triple-A Memphis, is headed back to Japan.) [...]

I guess there isn't much love for John Wasdin among NPB Tracker readers. I've learned to never say never, but Wasdin is a retread. Still, can you fault the guy for making a buck?

RE: Seibu team president Maeda and his John Wasdin Improvement on breaking pitches and control statement...

Can you actually call an "improvement" to Wasdin's breaking pitches an improvement if they never broke in the first place?
