Vote for Pablo

» 06 July 2009 » In mlb »

Voting is underway for the final two MLB All-Stars, and NPB Tracker is proud to officially endorse Pablo Sandoval for the final NL All-Star spot. Living in the Bay Area, I’ve seen my share of both the Giants and the A’s, and the Kung Fu Panda is easily the most fun position player on either team. Pablo’s stats hold up against any of the other four NL candidates as well.

So I ask everyone to stand with me by Thursday, July 9, 1:00pm PDT, and vote for a third baseman we can believe in. Together, we can make Pablo an All-Star. Yes, we can.

Shane Victorino of the Phillies deserves it more. Carlos Beltran and Raul Ibanez may not even play, so it is imperative we add a gold-glove defender to the NL’s outfield. Plus, David Wright and Ryan Zimmerman can easily hold their own over at the hot corner.

Both worthy candidates. NPB Tracker will respect equal time for the other candidates, but continues to officially endorse Pablo.

I would also submit that Pablo can play 1b and catcher, adding valuable versatility if the game reaches extra innings.

Wow, so he’s kind of like an MLB version of Okawari-kun?

(Yeah, I realize that sentence doesn’t entirely make sense.)

He’s somewhat Okawari-kun shaped, but hits for less power and better average relative to his league.
